Honey of a Ham
Print this Recipe
Better than store bought!
7 lb. spiral-cut smoked ham
1/2 c. apple juice
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. Burleson's Pure Honey
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place ham, cut end down, in a large baking pan. Mix apple and orange juices in a bowl. Bake ham for 15 minutes, basting frequently with fruit juices. Mix brown sugar and honey in another bowl. After 15 minutes, brush all honey mixture over ham and into spiral cuts. Bake for 1 hour, or until internal temperature of ham reads 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn oven to broil and continue to cook for 4-5 minutes, caramelizing the glaze on top of the ham, or use a kitchen torch if available. Allow ham to rest 10-15 minutes before serving. Makes 12 servings.
