The honey-caramel mixture makes these snacks unbearably great-tasting! This recipe make enough to serve at a party.
1 box (13-1/2 oz)or 16 cups crisp rice cereal 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick) 1/2 cup Burleson's Clover Honey 1/2 cup light corn syrup 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk (1/2 of a 14 oz can) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Candy or raisins for decorations (optional)
Place cereal in extra-large bowl. In 8-cup microwave-safe glass measure or bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, Burleson's Honey and corn syrup. Microwave on High for 5 minutes or until mixture begins to bubble, stirring every minute. Microwave on High for 2 minutes more. Stir in condensed milk; microwave on High for 3 minutes, stirring every minute. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal; stir to coat. Let cool for a few minutes. Spray nonstick cooking spray on inside of Honey Bear Shaper before using the first time. Firmly press* about 1 cup cereal mixture at a time into the Honey Bear Shaper. Tap on waxed paper to release. Decorate as desired.
Makes 22 to 24 Party Animals.
* Tip: It's easier to press mixture into shaper when you wear plastic glove. No gloves? No problem. Simply place a clean plastic bag over each hand before pressing mixture into shaper.
