Serve as a healthy breakfast or snack, or as a topping for fruit, yogurt or ice cream.
4 cups old-fashioned oats 2 cups flaked coconut 1 cup slivered almonds 1 cup pecan pieces 1 cup dried cranberries (Craisins recommended) 1 cup wheat germ 1 cup Burleson's Clover Honey 1/2 cup canola oil
In large bowl, stir together all ingredients until well combined. Pour into two 13x9x2-inch pans that have been lined with aluminum foil and coated with cooking spray. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool pans of granola on wire racks. Break apart large pieces.
Makes about 10 cups.
* Substitute raisins or dried cherries, if you like.
Great gift idea: Turn this granola into a gift by placing cupfuls in cellophane bags. Tie each bag with a pretty ribbon, and add a gift card to each.
