Combine: ¾ cup oil ¼ cup Burleson’s honey 1 cup sugar
Add: 2 cups sifted flour ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon soda 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
Mix well. Add: 1 egg 1 cup pecans, chopped
Press into a greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, no longer.
Icing: 1 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon butter, melted 1 tablespoon water
Mix and spread on spice bars as soon as you take them out of the oven. Cut into bars while still warm and place in an airtight container.
