do you know where your honey’s been?

Burleson’s Honey is True Source Certified®. True Source Certified honey is harvested, transported, tested, certified, and packaged with full transparency and traceability, from comb to kitchen.

True Source Certified Logo

With True Source certification, we know where our honey comes from. We know that it is ethically sourced and supply chain transparent, and also handled in a way that doesn’t undercut the hard work of honest beekeepers.

Unfortunately, some honey producers and packers are more concerned with profits than the quality of the honey they distribute. They purchase honey that bypasses U.S. duties and often contains cheap ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup.  This illegal practice damages the honey industry’s financial health and compromises its integrity. To combat this problem, True Source Honey launched the True Source certification program in 2011. The origin source verification program is challenging illegal practices and working to ensure the quality and traceability of the U.S. supply chain.

Since 2011, we have been a strong supporter of the program’s goals. We proudly carry the True Source Certified logo on our bottles, as well as actively participating in advocating for and strengthening the U.S. honey industry.
